Terms & Conditions

By downloading, installing or using Woogie ("the App"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to them, do not use the App. These Terms are an agreement between you and Joel Jaimon ("Developer", "we", "us").

Woogie is a pet care app for iOS and Android. It tracks care routines and reminders, records walks with GPS routes and distances, and stores photo memories, weights, health diary entries, vet records and supplies. It also includes a bundled library of care articles. The App is available in thirteen languages.

It runs on your device. There is no account, no server and no sync. Everything you record is stored on the phone you record it on.

Woogie is bought once, upfront. That purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. The licence is also subject to the terms of the store you bought it from, either the Apple App Store or Google Play. You may not resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the App.

The App is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, no trial and no unlock code. What you pay for at the point of purchase is the whole App.

The payment itself is handled by Apple or Google, not by us, and we never see your payment details. Refunds are handled by the same store under its own policy: on iOS through Apple's refund request process, on Android through Google Play. We cannot issue a refund directly, because the transaction is not ours to reverse.

Everything you put into Woogie is yours. Your pets, their photos, your captions, notes, records and routes belong to you and stay on your device. We claim no rights over any of it, we make no copy of it, and we have no way to view it, share it or recover it. Nothing you record is published anywhere or visible to anyone else.

This matters more than anything else in these Terms, so here it is plainly. Woogie keeps no cloud copy of your data. If your phone is lost, stolen, damaged or reset, or if you uninstall the App, everything you recorded in it is gone. We cannot get it back, and neither can anyone else.

The way to protect yourself is to export a backup from Settings and keep the file somewhere safe, such as a computer or a cloud drive of your own choosing. Do it regularly. We are not liable for data lost because no backup existed.

Woogie is a record-keeping and reminder companion. It is not a veterinary service, it does not provide veterinary, medical or diagnostic advice, and nothing in it should be treated as such.

The bundled articles are general educational writing about enrichment, behaviour, training, comfort, husbandry and bonding. They contain no medical, first aid, emergency or symptom content. The App never suggests a diagnosis, never rates urgency and never calculates a calorie or dosage target.

Consult a qualified veterinarian about anything concerning your animal's health. Never rely on the App in an emergency: contact a vet immediately. The care decisions are yours, and a reminder that arrives late, fails to arrive or gets dismissed is no substitute for your own judgement.

You agree to use the App lawfully, and not to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise try to derive its source code, nor to modify, adapt or build derivative works from it. You are responsible for the device the App runs on, for the accuracy of what you record in it, and for keeping your own backups.

The App itself, including its design, code, icons, illustrations, text and bundled article library, belongs to Joel Jaimon and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or create derivative works from it without written permission. None of this touches your own content, which remains yours.

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or free of errors, that a reminder will always fire at the moment you expect, or that a recorded route or distance will be exact. Notification delivery and location accuracy depend on your device, its operating system, its battery settings and its signal, none of which we control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Joel Jaimon is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. That includes lost data, lost time, a missed reminder, and any consequence of relying on the App for the care of an animal. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

This licence ends if you breach these Terms, and you can end it yourself at any time by deleting the App. Because nothing is held on our side, deleting it is the whole story: there is no account left behind and nothing for us to close. The sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them or from the App will be heard in the competent courts of India. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.

We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the App.
