Terms & Conditions

Critter Royale · Effective

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Joel Jaimon, the individual developer who publishes Critter Royale as LexaApps ("we", "us"). Critter Royale is listed on the App Store and Google Play as "Critter Royale: Plush Battle" ("the game"). By playing it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't play.

If you got the game from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. If you got it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply: https://play.google/intl/en_us/about/play-terms/. Where those terms and ours disagree about the store's role, the store's terms win.

Who can play

Critter Royale is for players 13 and up. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should read these terms with you and agree to them, especially before you buy anything.

Your player account

The game creates an anonymous player account for you the first time you open it. You can link it to Sign in with Apple or Google Play Games so you can get it back on another phone. Keep that sign-in safe: whoever controls it controls your player. If you don't link your account and you lose or reset your phone, we may not be able to recover your progress.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting it removes your progress and everything you bought, for good.

Our licence to you

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play Critter Royale on devices you own or control, for your own entertainment. The game, its critters, art, music and code belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. Don't copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer or modify the game, except where the law says you may.

Virtual items and purchases

  • Buttons, Stars, critters, skins, stickers, emotes, frames and Season Road rewards are virtual items. They have no money value, can't be exchanged for real money and can't be sold or transferred to another player or account.
  • When you buy something, you get a licence to use that item in the game, not ownership of it.
  • Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Refunds are handled by them under their own rules. If a purchase is refunded, we remove what it gave you.
  • Season Road passes and season items apply to the season that is running when you buy them. Seasons have an end date shown in the game.
  • Nothing sold in Critter Royale is random. You see what you get before you pay.
  • We may change prices, items and rewards in the game. We won't take away an item you bought, unless the purchase was refunded, you broke these terms, or we stop running the game.

Fair play

Please play fair. Don't:

  • cheat, use bots, hacks, modified versions of the game or anything that gives you an unfair advantage;
  • exploit bugs on purpose, or keep exploiting one after you find it;
  • interfere with our servers or other players' games;
  • use someone else's account or purchases without permission;
  • buy or sell accounts or virtual items outside the game.

If you break these rules we may remove items, reset progress, or suspend or close your account. Where we can, we will tell you why.

Ads

The game shows rewarded video ads from Google AdMob, only when you choose to watch one for a bonus. Ads are provided by advertisers, not by us. How ad data is used is explained in our privacy policy: https://lexaapps.com/apps/critter-royale/privacy-policy#ads

Online play and changes to the game

Online play needs an internet connection and depends on servers run by us and our providers. Sometimes the game will be down for maintenance or because something went wrong. We may update, change or remove features, maps, critters and modes, and we may one day stop running the game. If we stop running it, we will give notice in the game first where we can.

Disclaimers

The game is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will always be available, free of bugs or that your progress will never be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, progress or virtual items. Our total liability to you for anything to do with the game is limited to the amount you paid for in-game purchases in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by contract, or liability that can't be excluded by law.

Ending this agreement

You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We may end your licence if you break these terms. The sections on virtual items, disclaimers, liability and disputes still apply afterwards.

Disputes

If you live in the EU, the UK or another place that gives consumers the right to use their local courts and laws, you keep that right. Before going to court, please email us so we can try to sort it out.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters, we will tell you in the game. Playing after a change means you accept the new terms.
