Privacy Policy

PressMe · Effective April 3, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how PressMe ("we", "our", or "the App") handles your information. PressMe is a reflex and cognitive challenge game available on iOS and Android where you test your reaction speed, memory, and mental agility across multiple game modes. By using PressMe, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account & Identity Data

PressMe uses platform-based authentication. On iOS, you may sign in via Apple Game Center. On Android, you may sign in via Google Play Games. If neither service is available, an anonymous Firebase account is created automatically. We receive a unique player identifier, display name, and avatar URL from your gaming platform. We do not collect your email address, phone number, real name, or password.

Gameplay Data

We collect your scores, levels reached, game mode, and the week identifier when you submit scores to our leaderboards. Locally on your device, the App stores your challenge success rates, reaction time statistics, mode-specific best scores, streaks, and unlocked challenge types.

Analytics Data

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage events such as app opens, game starts, game completions, leaderboard views, paywall interactions, ad engagement events, and subscription activity. Firebase may also collect device metadata (OS version, device model, screen size, and platform).

Advertising Identifiers

Google AdMob, used to serve rewarded video ads, may access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) in accordance with platform policies.

Subscription Data

If you subscribe to PressMe Madness, your purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) through RevenueCat. We do not directly collect or store your payment information. RevenueCat associates your subscription status with your Firebase user ID.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Authenticate your identity and link it to your Game Center or Play Games profile.
  • Display your name and avatar on weekly leaderboards.
  • Track your gameplay progress, unlocks, and statistics locally on your device.
  • Serve rewarded video ads that give you a second chance after a game over (limited to 2 per session).
  • Manage your subscription status for the Madness game mode.
  • Analyze anonymous usage patterns to improve game balance, fix bugs, and develop new challenge types.
  • Deliver weekly AI-generated challenges from our servers (the generation process does not use any player data).

Leaderboard Data

When you submit a score, the following information is stored in our cloud database (Google Cloud Firestore):

  • Your player ID (Firebase UID)
  • Display name (truncated to 30 characters)
  • Avatar URL (from Game Center or Play Games)
  • Platform (iOS or Android)
  • Score and level reached
  • Game mode (Noob, Dean, or Madness)
  • Week identifier and submission timestamp

Leaderboard entries are publicly readable by other PressMe users. Weekly leaderboards reset each week.
